“Close, I hope.” He replied.

Noah peeked out the door. “I don’t see them!”

“What happens if he doesn’t make it back in time?” Maddie asked.

Hayden shrugged. “I don’t know.”

“You don’t know?” Noah shouted.

“You won’t get the supplies they’re bringing, and they’ll have an alternate experience,” Jenna replied.

Will raised an eyebrow. The last person who’d been to an alternate experience hadn’t been seen since.

“Should I go get them?” Noah questioned.

Will shook his head. “No! Then, we might lose you too.”

Noah grinned. “At least you’ll have more food!”

“I don’t think the ‘alternate experience’ is a place you want to be,” Will replied.

“I see them!” Noah shouted. “They’re coming in!”

“What do they have?” Anabelle questioned.

“More food, I think,” Noah said. “And, a stove!”

“Uh,” Sofia said. “We’ll need that stove!”

“Let’s go!” Will shouted, running with Noah out the door to help.

They sprinted down the stairs.

“How much time do we have?” Vince called to them as they reached him.

“Seconds!” Will replied. “Hurry!”

Noah helped Vince carry the stove, while Will took a few extra food items from Ted.

The whole room flashed red, and a blaring alarm went off.

“Fifteen seconds!” Winnie shouted from the doorway. “Get up here!”

Will sprinted up the stairs, helping Ted as they came into the room.
